Biography
Janet Jia-Ee Chui was born and grew up in Singapore, the tropical
island-country William Gibson dubbed "Disneyland with the death
penalty," and she liked it well enough. Prone to wanderlust,
she spent three of her college years in the American midwest to
earn a degree in Journalism, then went back to Singapore. In 2002,
she went back to the US (Michigan) to attend the Clarion (East)
Science-Fiction and Fantasy Writers' Workshop, and found her husband
among her fellow participants. In the beginning of 2004, she moved
from Singapore to Cary, North Carolina. Her interests include art,
