Karen May has been painting for many years. Her preferred medium
is acrylic watercolour because it offers such flexibility.
"If I had to make a list of those that I most appreciated,
the name at the top would have to be Arthur Rackham. His work is
so complete, so atmospheric - the man was a genius.
I also love Amy Brown and Myrea Petit because they both achieve
a wonderful freshness and simplicity in their work. For a more sultry
'moody' feel, I think that Jessica Galbreth is exceptional, but
they're all great in their own right and I'm sure they will inspire
others for years to come." |
