| Biography
Melanie Phillips was born in the UK and enjoys using watercolour
as a medium for her fairies.
"I often paint watercolour landscapes for my own pleasures,
though I rarely use it for my animal portraits as I feel other mediums
suit the subject far better. My aim when painting fairies is for
them to look very natural within their setting. I don't want them
to look posed or for them to be looking at the camera. I want the
viewers of my paintings to be looking into their world and the fairies
to be just getting on with their every day lives. This is the best
way to see fairies, to sit quietly and wait for them to come to
you." |
